This subject examines interdisciplinary practice as a method of inquiry rather than style. It asks how art forms intersect and what occurs when material, process and context are tested against each other. The focus is on developing a research question that drives a new body of work through experimentation and documentation. Concept videos function as tools for thinking rather than promotion. Collaboration is positioned as a means of testing ideas in public. Attention is given to timelines, milestones and record keeping as structural supports.
