T4 WORKS IN PROGRESS: cutting the cyanotypes

The following week, the next step was to begin cutting each cyanotype so they could be fitted into the orange safety barrier fencing. I made a template from an offcut of the barrier mesh, which allowed me to keep the size and shape consistent across the work. This was important because each cyanotype needed to sit within the structure of the fencing and respond to the repeated pattern of the mesh.


Using the template, I carefully cut out each cyanotype one by one. This became another slow and repetitive process, but it helped bring the work closer to its final installation form.
